Change Healthcare Crisis

We founded Juno with the vision to provide great healthcare for overlooked people and places. And our commitment to diversity and personalized care sets us apart and guides everything we do. However, the ongoing Change Healthcare Crisis has jeopardized our ability to continue caring for Harlem and Brooklyn.

Change Healthcare—a subsidiary of the behemoth UnitedHealthcare—suffered an unprecedented cyberattack that left doctors' offices and hospitals with serious cashflow problems and has now put Juno’s operations at risk. This crisis has disrupted essential pharmacy and payment services nationwide, significantly affecting our practice's financial stability. For more insight into the crisis, you can read about it here from the American Medical Association.

Despite extensive work to navigate these challenges—including numerous attempts to secure alternative funding —our options have been exhausted, and these efforts have not been successful.

This is why I am reaching out to you directly for help. We are initiating a fundraising campaign that will enable us to continue providing the healthcare services our patients and their families rely on. A donation of $100 or $250 from you can make a significant difference, although any contribution, no matter the size, will be invaluable.

Your support will not only help us manage the current economic challenges but also ensure we remain a beacon of hope and health in Harlem and Brooklyn. Here’s how your support will help:

  • Continuation of Services: Ensuring that we continue to provide necessary medical services without interruption.

  • Support Our Team: Keeping our dedicated and diverse medical staff employed and able to serve you.

  • Infrastructure Resilience: Strengthening our systems against future crises so we can continue to focus on your health without disruption.

To contribute, please visit our donation page — Juno Medical Practice Support Fund. We sincerely appreciate every donation, and your swift action will directly impact the continuation of our services.

We understand that times are tough, and not everyone may be in a position to donate. If that’s the case, even sharing this with as many people as you can would be a great help.

Thank you for considering this time-sensitive request. We are committed to serving you and know, with your support, we will overcome this and continue to care for you and your family.
